Neuro-Bsik is a consortium of 11 Dutch research groups and two companies. The consortium aims to contribute to the battle against brain disorders by developing novel mouse models for brain disorders. These models will be initially identified using a novel, automated procedure to analyze mouse behavior and subsequently analysed in depth at different levels of complexity using the specific expertise of each of the academic partners. The consortium is supported by a large Dutch governmental grant Besluit subsidies investeringen kennisinfrastructuur (Bsik), which is aimed at improving the Dutch knowledge infrastructure and is administered by SenterNovem. The Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports provides the Neuro-Bsik grant.
